Amazon has yet to reveal its latest Kindle e-readers but ahead of anything official, a listing of the 12th generation Kindle was spotted by Good e-Reader on the website of UK retailer John Lewis. The listing has since been taken down but screenshots were already taken by then.
Amazon Kindle 12th Generation Leaked
According to the listing, the 12th generation Kindle is the ‘lightest and most compact’ with a 6-inch 300ppi display and 16GB storage.
The entry-level e-reader from Amazon will feature a 25% brighter panel at the max setting compared to its predecessor. Moreover, it has a higher contrast ratio and faster page turns. It will also come with a dark mode that will flip the e-ink colors.
The e-reader will also come with Bluetooth connectivity which should come in handy for those who want to listen to audiobooks.
The 12th generation Kindle was spotted with a GBP 94.99 (around PHP 7,100) price tag, higher by EUR 10 than its predecessor.
In addition, the Kids Edition was also spotted which comes with a color case and a free six-month subscription to Amazon Kids+. This is down from the one-year subscription that came with the previous Kids Edition e-reader. This was listed at EUR 114.99 (around PHP 8,600).
