The grand finals saw FNOP clinch a 4-3 victory in a best-of-seven series, solidifying their position as the strongest MPL PH esports team in the Philippines.

FNOP’s path to victory was marked by an impressive display of skill and teamwork throughout the season. Under the guidance of Head Coach Tony Senedrin and Assistant Coach Jeniel Bata-anon, the team lost only one match during the entire regular season to Smart Omega.
Their roster, consisting of Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez, Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez, Jan “Kirk” Gutierrez, Borris “Brusko” Parro, Duane “Kelra” Pillas, and Brian “Spider-Milez” Santos, showcased remarkable dominance and consistency.

As champions, FNOP took home USD 150,000 (approximately PHP 8.7 million). Their victory not only brings financial rewards but also earns them a coveted spot in the upcoming M6 World Championship, set to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in December 2024.

Grant “Kelra” Pillas, also known as “The Gold Standard,” was named the Finals Most Valuable Player (FMVP) for his outstanding performance as the team’s Gold Laner. His exceptional play was very instrumental in propelling FNOP to the championship. This victory marks a significant milestone for Kelra, as it secures his return to the international stage since his last global appearance at the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2021.
Record-Breaking Viewership
The event achieved the highest peak concurrent viewership (PCV) in the league’s history, with 1,595,994 viewers tuning in, according to analytics partner Esports Charts. This impressive figure surpasses the previous record of 1.4 million viewers set during Season 7 in 2021 and cements MPL Philippines’ position as the second-most popular league in the MPL series, trailing only behind MPL Indonesia.
Looking Ahead: M6 World Championship
Both Fnatic ONIC Philippines and runners-up Aurora MLBB have earned the honor of representing the Philippines in the M6 World Championship. This prestigious tournament will feature 16 top teams from around the globe competing for a share of the increased prize pool of USD 1 million.
