The PlayStation Portal is getting a significant upgrade with the latest system update. This update brings exciting news for fans of cloud gaming: a beta version of cloud streaming is now available on the PlayStation Portal.
PlayStation Portal Upgrade
Here’s what you need to know:
Cloud Streaming on PlayStation Portal (Beta):
- Play select PS5 games directly from the cloud: No need for a PS5 console nearby! With a PlayStation Plus Premium membership, you can access and play select PS5 games directly through the Portal via cloud streaming. This beta feature allows you to experience the power of next-generation gaming even without owning a PS5 physically.
- How to access the beta: It’s simple! Ensure your Portal is running the latest system software update. Then, head to the Quick Menu, access “Settings,” and select “Cloud Streaming (Beta).” You can then toggle the feature on or off based on your preference.
Additional Improvements:
While cloud streaming is the star of the show, the update may also include other enhancements to the Portal experience. Unfortunately, the official PlayStation blog hasn’t detailed them yet.
