The new and much improved plan configurations of PLDT are finally up. The new plans and services of PLDT were demonstrated during an exclusive event at the residence of Ferdie Ong, the President of Living Innovations and General Manager of Minotti Manila. Apart from the usual events we have attended, PLDT made us experience all their services – especially the much covered 1Gbps Fibr connection down to their existing products.

There is hope after all.

Regular Fibr Plans just got more affordable. New Fibr Plan is PhP2899 with 50mbps dedicated fiber optic connectivity. That’s 50mbps download, 50mbps upload. Apart from the latter, Plan 2899 or the Power Plus Plan also includes a Free TVolution Stick, free iFlix, Fox International channels and Fibr voice line.

If you are in 3500 plan and up, you will be upgraded to the new configuration, that is with Triple Play with Cignal Plus, which gives you access to 83 Digital TV Channels. No monthly cap is also confirmed. Customers who apply before January 31, 2016 will have their speed boosted to 100Mbps for the first six months of their subscription. How cool is that?!

Now, about the 1Gbps connection, Speedtest wasn’t the most ideal way to test it so PLDT downloaded a game via Steam instead. During the demo, 47gb Call of Duty: Black Ops III data was downloaded for less than 20 minutes. Fibr is now available in over 1,600 Fibr-powered villages nationwide including Valle Verde 1-6, Forbes Park, Dasmarinas Village and Ayala Alabang Village, among others.
