We were invited to join the Philippine delegation to Vivo’s launch event in India last April 4-7 but we weren’t able to join due to conflict in schedule. Fortunately, VIVO and their PR sent us a copy of their latest announcement.
Yes, you read it correctly – Vivo is finally coming to the Philippines, and this isn’t actually surprising because the Philippines is a hotbed of smartphone lovers but still with low smartphone penetration rate. With rate of 55%, The Philippines lags behind Malaysia and India when it comes to smartphone penetration rate. Tapping such potency is one of the reasons why Vivo is coming to the Philippines. According to Annie Lime, Vivo Philippines Brand Director, “Vivo’s latest innovation, the V3 and V3 Max, highlight Vivo’s dedication to design and creativity coupled with state-of-the-art technology. Through the V-series, we are confident that we can give Filipinos what matters the most for them—great performance and premium features that are at an affordable price point. The V series is set to give consumers a better option that will give them cutting-edge functions and Hi-Fi music quality that only Vivo can offer.”
Apart from announcing the dawn of Vivo in the Philippines this April 2016, Vivo also launched V3 and V3 Max in India. These 2 devices are tailor-fitted to Asians, especially to Philippines.
