3 years ago, Linus Sebastian of Linus Tech Tips, posted a video of a mechanical keyboard from a relatively unknown brand. He praised the overall build of the peripheral device, and even recommended it for its brave entry to the US, where Steelseries, Razer and Corsair were dominating. The keyboard Linus showcased was the Hermes Keyboard by Gamdias.

Today, we were invited by Banbros and Reggie Ramos of Dronthego.net to the official launch of Gamdias in the Philippines. The brand is committed to bring current and upcoming gaming peripheral devices in the Philippines starting this month.

Gaming has just become the hottest form of entertainment in the Philippines. Gamdias seemed to notice that that’s why they have bravely and boldly accepted the challenge to get into the competition against Razer, Logitech and Steelseries in the Philippines.

One of their latest gaming mechanical keyboards, the Gamdias Hermes RGB, got my attention wildly. As their most pricey product (PhP6,990), it promises a wealth of features and unique selling propositions. For starters, as its name implies, it has a multi-colored RGB backlighting with 16.8 million color combinations. Wild.

Perhaps, another exciting device in their initial line-up is Hephaestus headphones with 7.1 surround sounds, built-vibration mechanism, gamdias LED and flexible boom mic. Gamdias call it a multi-sensorial headphone, because – obviously – everything in it got all your senses covered.

The best thing about this headset is its price. You may buy this headphone for only PhP3,990. That is way more affordable than the ones from Steelseries and Razer; exactly how Gamdias wanted to position themselves in the market.

Apart from Hephaestus, they also announced Eros Elite, a stereo gaming headset that can go toe to toe (or should I say ‘ear to ear’) with Hyper X Cloud II. It is compatible with PS4, comes with detachable mic and has a smart remote controller. Price isn’t shabby too as its SRP is only PhP3,290.

Gamdias told us that they’ll bring in more products in the coming months. They will also be at Computex Taiwan to announce more products for gamers. We are going to make sure that we’ll pay them a visit on May 28 to June 1 in Taiwan.

Meanwhile, while we all wait for their stocks to come to the Philippines, check out the rest of the products that will be sold (with respective prices). Note that these products come with 1 year warranty from Gamdias.

  • Hephaestus 7.1 – Php3,990
  • Eros Elite – Php3,290
  • Hermes RGB – Php6,690
  • Hermes 7 Color – Php5,190
  • Hermes Lite + Erebos Lite V2 – Php4,690
  • Ares 7 Color + Erebos LE – P2,190
  • Ares II + Demeter II Combo – P850

Yes, you read the last price correctly. The Ares II + Demeter II package is their most affordable combo. It includes a membrane-type keyboard with LED lighting on its side, plus a 3200dpi mouse. PhP850 is such a really good stea, right?
