A few weeks ago, Starmobile launched Play Click for PhP2,690. It is a budget smartphone powered by Spreadtrum 7731C with 1.3GHz quad core processor, Mali-400MP2 GPU and 512mb RAM

Today, Starmobile, together with Smart Communications, relaunched Play Click at a much affordable price and riddled with goodies such as Smart and TNT Prepaid SIMS and 1 year free data.

What’s interesting about the Starmobile Play Click is its big 4.5-inch screen, which is fairly bigger than current offerings of other brands today.

According to FVP and Smart Wireless Consumer Operations Head, Katrina Luna-Abelarde, “With this partnership, Smart bolsters its thrust to bring the smartphone in the hands of every Filipino by offering feature-rich handsets at a very affordable price.” She also added, “This is our way of breaking the barriers for many of our fellowmen to enjoying a much richer mobile digital experience.”

During the launch, VP and Head for Smart Brand and Marketing Communications, Kathy Carag, said that this new offering is their way to fulfill their continued commitment to bring more affordable smartphones to Filipinos. This will also enable the telco to bring their services to more people. Carag also took the opportunity to promote the availability of SmartLife Android app.
