When it comes to fitness trackers, most devices I could think of are worn on the wrist. But now, a company named Motiv has introduced their own version, with a twist. It’s called the Motiv Ring.
The Motiv Ring may not look as fancy as what you’d get from a jewelry store, but looks can be deceiving, because this little fellow has a Bluetooth sensor, and a 3-axis accelerometer housed inside it.
This thing is packed with a lot of tech, and can track your steps, heart rate, and expended calories. Its also waterproof up to 160 feet, and can last between 3 to 5 days on a single charge. Wondering how? all you have to do is hook the ring into its very own magnetic charger, and plug the other end to a USB port, and that’s it.
The Motiv Ring costs around $200, and for the time being, is only compatible with an iPhone5s and newer devices running on iOS 9 and later (An Android companion app is in the works). You’ll also have to wait until spring of this year to get your hands on one.
