A new OPPO device has just been revealed in popular benchmark site GFXBench. Named the R66, it seems to be another mid-ranger with almost the same specs as the F1s.
The R66 has a 5.5-inch HD display, and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM (1GB more than the F1s) and 32GB of internal storage.
For the imaging department, the R66 also sports a 16MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera, which suggests that it’s another selfie-centric device. There’s no information on what version of ColorOS it runs on, but what we do know is that it’s based on Android 5.1 Lollipop (which is evidently outdated).
We’re not sure as to what the company’s plans are by releasing a phone with almost similar specs with their current “star”. But we are hoping for a flagship release, at the very least.
