There are only a few days before MWC, but Huawei has chosen to take a step ahead and reveal a new device ahead of time: Introducing the Honor V9.
The Honor V9 is a flagship level smartphone which kind of resembles… well let’s not go there. For a start, it has a 5.7-inch 2K display (it’s still unconfirmed whether it has Gorilla Glass protection), so if you’re going to get this for media consumption, you’re in for a treat.
At the core of the device is a Kirin 960 octa-core chip, coupled with either 4GB or a whopping 6GB of RAM. It also comes with either 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal storage, runs on EMUI 5.0 on top of Android Nougat, and has a 4000mAh battery.
The main weapon of V9 however, it its third generation 12MP f/2.2 dual rear camera setup with an improved light sensor that can capture up to three times more light. Not only does it offer better low light photos, but it also allows the device to easily achieve the Bokeh effect.
The Honor V9 is also being touted as a device capable of capturing 3D photos, aided by laser focus. 3D printouts can also be created.
The Huawei Honor V9 comes in Gold, Black, Blue, and Red, and will be available in China this February 28. As for the prices? $377 for the 4GB + 64GB version, $436 for the 6GB + 64GB version, and $508 for the 6GB + 128GB version.
