Announced at MWC, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is the Korean tech giant’s newest entry into the flagship tablet market. And earlier today at a special event, the Tab device was officially welcomed into the Philippine market.
The Galaxy Tab S3 is primarily built for media consumption and sports a massive 9.7-inch QXGA Super AMOLED display. At its core is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU which offers 18% improvement in CPU performance and 3 times better GPU performance compared to its predecessor. It also has 4GB of RAM for multi-tasking, and 32GB of internal storage.
There’s a 13MP camera at the back, and a 5MP camera up front for selfies and video calling. The Galaxy Tab S3 is also fitted with 4 speakers which automatically adjust and follow the orientation of the device. Samsung has also collaborated with AKG for an audio experience that is lifelike and immersive.
The Tab S3 runs on Android Nougat, and has an extremely potent 6,000mAh battery which can yield up to 12 hours of uptime from a single charge. Charging time won’t be an issue as it’s also compatible with fast charging.
For creatives, the Tab S3 also comes with a newly redesigned S Pen which sports a 0.7mm tip, a pressure sensor level of 4,096, and doesn’t require charging. It’s ideal for use with S Pen specific apps like Samsung Notes, PEN.UP, and Soundcamp. Other features include Vulkan API support, HDR media playback, USB Type C Interface, and a game launcher which offers settings that you can tweak to improve your gaming experience.
