Rainy season is now upon us, and there is one app that will get you updated with the latest in weather forecast and typhoon monitoring.
WeatherPhilippines has been on our radar for months already, and it has proven itself to be one of the most reliable apps downloadable via PlayStore.
The application is powered by Aboitiz Group, in partnership with UnionBank. It was a developed to complement the government’s disaster risk reduction management initiatives in providing localized weather information. When connecting to specific locations, the app looks for a local weather information box, which provides accurate information of the current local weather. Users can add multiple locations and rename to their heart’s content.
The information provided by the application include detailed weather forecast, typhoon tracking (if applicable) and affected areas (if applicable).
The application may be downloaded via PlayStore [link]. As of this writing, the application is unavailable at iOS AppStore.
