I took out the Zenfone 3 Zoom and the iPhone 6s during my recent trip to Baguio. We have a few more photo comparisons to post later on. For now, feast your eyes with the photos below and tell us your thoughts on the comments section below.
Bench in HDR
The Zenfone 3 clearly wins this round based on our standards. Color accuracy and saturation of foliage and plants aren’t too blown up even at HDR, but was able to bring out the beauty of sky a little higher.

Bun Thit Food Photography
There is no clear winner here as both phones produced an accurate output of the subject I took. Color saturation and level of detail is better than expected.

Foliage
The same goes with the photos below. The amount of bokeh produced by both devices are excellent by our standards. Zenfone 3 Zoom’s photo look greener than the iPhone’s, but the margin of quality is too minimal for us to make ASUS’ bet the winner on this round.

Hotel Facade
We’re giving this round to iPhone 6s. We love Zenfone 3 Zoom’s focal length, but the quality is much better on the iPhone 6s on this photo. Colors pop out more using the iPhone, compared to Zenfone 3 Zoom’s minimally washed out output.

Houses
The Zenfone 3 Zoom wins this round again as it greatly represented the subject I took. I must admit that the iPhone 6s’ output looks livelier, but turned out to be yellowish and a little more saturated than the original.

Outside
We used auto mode when we took the 2 photos below. This time, the level of saturation, detail and shadow are on point. If you take a look at the Philippine flag on the left, the photo we took using the iPhone 6 captured its colors correctly, compared to Zenfone 3 Zoom’s washed out output.

Taken about 6 seconds apart, the photo we took using Zenfone 3 Zoom emerged as the clear winner on this round. From light sensitivity to level of detail, Zenfone 3 Zoom got it totally right.
Roof
Zenfone 3 Zoom was able to show more details of our subject compared to iPhone 6s’ output.

Roof (Zoom Level and Quality)
Obviously, Zenfone 3 Zoom has more zooming capability. However, as we zoom further, the more light compensation is required. As more light compensation is needed, the noisier the output gets. The noisier the photo, the lesser the quality it would be. Thus, in terms of quality, the iPhone 6s
