Echo Fox | JDCR Wins Tekken 7 Tournament at REV Major Philippines!

Many are chosen, but in the end, only one will stand up at the top as champion. In the case of the Tekken 7 Tournament at the recently concluded REV Major Philippines, that name is Echo Fox | JDCR.

From a pool of 16 on the 2nd day, JDCR rose to the top beating some big names such as his own teammate, Echo Fox Saint, and Japan’s Yamasa|Nobi.

In the winners finals, he faced off with crowd favorite Knee on to a nerve wracking 2-2, and then came out victorious on the final round, sending the other Korean into the losers bracket.

Knee, being one of the best in the world, then once again proved his prowess as a pro by defeating Yamasa|Take 3-2 on the losers finals to again face JDCR for the Grand Finals.

The grand final was a triumphant moment as JDCR (Dragunov) faced Knee (Feng) on another cliffhanger as both players gave their all, but like they say, sometimes it’s just a matter of luck or who wants it more, and in this case, Echo Fox JDCR took the flag with a 3-1 victory.

As the winner of the tournament, JDCR was awarded a USD4000, a trophy, and a brand new PS4. Knee came in at 2nd place, receiving USD2000 with a medal, with Yamasa|Take on 3rd place with USD1500.

Apart from Tekken 7, REV Major Philippines also featured tournaments for Street Fighter V, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator 2, King of Fighters XIV, Super Smash Bros 4 for Wii U, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
