Most, if not all, of the phones in the Zenfone 4 line-up are built for Photography. ASUS has perfected the photography features of their smartphones over the years, and their latest Selfie line, particularly the Selfie Pro, is the summit of their achievement.
During our interview with ASUS CEO Jerry Shen and ASUS Global Marketing Head Marcel Campos, ASUS said that “ the smartphone industry isn’t about always about the first one.” ASUS believes that doing things right outweighs being a pioneer in this industry. The new ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Pro aren’t the first ones with 2 overpowered front-facing camera sensors. Shenzhen-based companies, OPPO and VIVO, got in this space first with their OPPO F3 and VIVO V5 Plus.
The new Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, while late in the game, packs 2 front-facing cameras with much better specifications. Its dual selfie cameras are powered by 24MP Duo Pixel Camera, f/1.8 Sony flagship IMX362 image sensor with ASUS SuperPixel Engine, and a 120-degree wide view camera selfie. Note that the Sony IMX 362 image sensor is the same one packed inside the rear main facing camera of the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom. This time, with the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, it has been moved to the front to enable content creators and selfie-loving individuals in capturing good photos and videos up to 4K.
As for the rear camera, the new Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, is packed with a 16MP camera with Sony IMX351 image sensor with .03s PDAF. It is the same sensor installed in the front facing camera of the ASUS Zenfone 4 Pro.
