Remember the Cherry Mobile Selfie a few years back? We tuned in to Cherry Mobile’s recent Facebook Live video with Kim Chiu and we got so intrigued with the smartphone she flashed.
At 16:35, GadgetMatch’s Dan Morial said “Parang bago yan!”. We had the same thoughts because it’s unlike anything we’ve seen from the Philippines’ fruit company.
The device has rounded corners and fingerprint sensor just below its main rear camera. Judging by its size, it might have a 13 or 18-megapixel main camera. Just above its camera are antenna band and a dual LED flash.
Kim Chiu also showed the front side of the phone. It is obvious that that new phone either has 5.5-inch display or more. There are no capacitive buttons, which is a good thing, but we’re not liking the big bezel below the screen. She took a selfie too and gave us a glimpse of the front camera’s sample output.
It only has 1 front camera, 1 dual-LED flash and 1 strip, which keeps all the sensors. She took a selfie too and gave us a glimpse of the front camera’s sample output. Based on the photo, the camera seems to have wide focal length.
As for details, we already contacted Cherry Mobile for details of this new smartphone. Watch out as we discover more about this new “selfie” smartphone. For now, let’s put our hopes up as we wait for Cherry Mobile’s response.
