If you live in the fancy neighboorhood of Rockwell, Makati, you can now easily get or upgrade your plan to Fibr!
Just yesterday, September 28, 2017, PLDT announced that residents of the posh neighborhood can now use up to 100 megabit per second (Mbps) connection. This includes all residential condominiums, namely Rizal Tower, Luna Gardens, Hidalgo Place, Amorsolo Towers, Edades Garden Villas and Towers, Joya Lofts and Towers, One Rockwell, and The Manansala.
In a statement given by PLDT FVP and Head of Home Business Marco Borlongan, “With PLDT HOME Fibr, Rockwell Center residents will now be able to seamlessly download files, log-in to their social media accounts, stream their favorite movies, play online games, and a lot more on the multiple screens they use at home.”
While the community is already digitally savvy enough, the Fibr roll-out fill further increase the interest in consuming more digital content like streaming HD on-demand videos on Netflix, iFlix and YouTube; and download and updating video games via Steam and Playstation network, to name a few.
Borlongan even added that “Fibr-powered families can experience up to 100 Mbps of symmetrical internet speeds—which means subscribers may download and upload at equal high-speed. This powerful connectivity also enables them to enjoy renowned entertainment options from PLDT Home’s game-changing entertainment box—the Roku PoweredTMTVolution which offers Cignal TV, and over 100 streaming channels including Netflix, iflix, and YouTube. PLDT Home Fibr also allows lag-free and stable streaming of high-quality, high-definition video content without pixelation.”
With PLDT Fibr, subscribers open their internet ecosystem to more products like PLDT’s SmartHome security devices like Fam Cam, Fam Zone and their kiddie gadget Smart Watch.
Rockwell is just a testament to PLDT’s commitment to put high-speed internet in every home in the Philippines. As of end-June, PLDT’s fiber facilities have passed 3.3 million homes and expected its FTTG coverage to about 4M homes passed by the end of 2017.
