Gariath Concepts is proud to bring you the E-Sports and Gaming Summit 2017, Happening today until October 29, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Dubbed as one of the biggest E-Sports Competition and Gaming Convention in Southeast Asia, it brings together various publishers, developers, brands, and gamers for three days of fun-filled activities.
More Presence from the Big Names in the Gaming Industry
Some big brands who have participated in the previous ESGS events are making a return to this year’s show. The PlayStation Booth for one, will showcase upcoming titles that you can try out.
Ubisoft will showcase Assasin’s Creed: Origins and Just Dance 2018, and will also play host to some activities related to game development. You’ll be able to try out Capcom’s Monster Hunter World, and Hi-Rez Studios will also take the stage to host demos and tournaments for Smite and Paladins.
Local developers Secret 6 is set to unveil the latest version of their upcoming FPS game, Xandata, while Ranida games will let you try out their fighting game: Bayani: Kanino Ka Kakampi?. Indigo Entertainment’s booth will feature their mecha-fighting game, Garrison Archangel, and Synergy 88 will also be bringing some surprises for their upcoming projects.
Mobile Game Developers and tournament organizers will also be making their presence felt this year, with R2’s Heroes Evolved and Montoon’s Mobile Legends. There will also be some tournaments for mobile games.
Gaming and Hobby Shop Ludus, will be bringing Final Fantasy: The Card Game, as it takes the center stage, with demos on their booth where you can also purchase the game.
MSI, HyperX, Thermaltake, Predator, AOC, Philips, ASRock, Zotac and PowerColor will also be present to showcase their newest products.
More Spotlight for the Indies
The Indie Arena will highlight a number of game titles developed by international devs, and local indie game devs will also have their own area in GDAP’s GameFest Station. Here, you can try out the games, talk to the devs, and perhaps bring home exclusive freebies!
Brace yourselves for more Brawlfest Action
The biggest fighting game communities will also hold tournaments featuring fan-favorite games. The highlight would be the Tekken 7 tournament, in which the winner will head to EVO 2018 in Japan to compete with some of the world’s finest players.
Leveling Up on Game Development
The Game Developers Association on the Philippines will be having their own GameFest, only more centered on the academic side. Several schools and game development partners will also be participating to share their specialties. A number of top developers will also be giving a series of talks regarding concept art, animation, programming and more.
Gear Up for the Cosplay Competition: Gaming Category
A convention like this wouldn’t be complete without a Cosplay competition. Now, with even bigger prizes on the line. The panel of judges are also long-time cosplayers themselves: Tech influencer Kang Dupet, freelance events organizer Loki Heart, and World Cosplay Summit Philippines President Tessa. The competition will be handled by Anime Alliance Philippines, and powered by Animax.
