One of the best-selling phones of Cherry Mobile will receive a price slash up to more than 39% off through Lazada Philippines. According to several reports from members of the Cherry Mobile Flare group at Facebook, they have received an email from Lazada, which allegedly pre-maturely announced the price slash of Magnum 2X from PhP8,999 to PhP3,283. (Please see update below. This is apparently an error on the part of Lazada.)
Magnum 2x packs the most noteworthy specifications. It is endowed with the world’s first mobile super chip, the Nvidia Tegra 2. Clocking at 1Ghz per core, the Dual-Core ARM Cortex A9 (Tegra 2′s CPU). It is so ready to get pounded with applications running simultaneously in the background. Its GPU is ready to display gorgeous pictures and show awesome videos. It’s the Philippines’ first dual-core phone, which Cherry Mobile announced just last year. It was originally priced then at PhP15,899.
The big question remains – with the impending price drop of Magnum 2x, will people still get the Cherry Mobile Flare? The former will soon be priced at PhP3,283 while the latter is currently priced at PhP3,999 PhP5,489.
I checked on the specs of these devices and created the table below for your reference.
