In partnership with Synaptics, Vivo is kicking 2018 off by showcasing its first production-ready smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanning technology at this year’s CES, with more details and availability to be announced soon.

Held in Las Vegas, Nevada in the USA, the event is a yearly gathering of global brands and companies that are centered on consumer technologies. It has also served as an avenue for continuous innovation for 50 years.

Vivo’s participation in the event is proof of the brand’s pursuit of maintaining its position in the global smartphone industry, constantly improving user experience through six research and development centers.

The brand is known for many feats, which includes being one of the first to come out with smartphones with a 24MP selfie camera: the V7 and V7+, along with a dedicated Hi-Fi chip for better sound quality, and a dual 20MP dual front camera in the V5 Plus.

Vivo has at least 1.1 million users and 5,200 stores in the Philippines to date, and has been named as one of the top 5 global smartphone brands in 2016. The success of the brand is heavily attributed accurate consumer insight, breakthrough solutions and products, and a creative and effective marketing strategy.
