Samsung has just announced a limited edition Galaxy Note 8 to celebrate the upcoming Olympic Winter Games, which will be held in PyeongChang, South Korea this February.
The Korean tech giant will be giving out over 4,000 units of the said device to all olympians and staff, letting them experience the best of Samsung’s mobile technology to date – the 6.3-inch Ininity Display, the enhanced S-Pen, and the dual rear cameras that take stunning photos.
The limited edition Galaxy Note 8 showcases a shiny white glass at the back that symbolizes the winter theme, and gold rings that are based from the olympic torch.

The phone also comes with PyeongChang 2018 themed wallpapers and other useful apps that will help users get the ultimate Olympic Games experience.

Samsung to Provide Smartphones to Paralympians
Samsung will also give out Galaxy Note 8 units to all Paralympians at the Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, along with cases that bear the event’s logo, in order for them to be exposed to breakthrough mobile technologies that make the digital realm more accessible those with disabilities.
Samsung’s Involvement in the Olympic Games
Samsung started its participation in the Olympic Games as a local sponsor for Seoul 1988. Since the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, the company has become a worldwide partner for Wireless Communications Equipment, and continues through PyeongChang 2018, and Tokyo 2020.
