Nokia launches ReefShark, promises massive performance in 5G networks

Nokia partnered with 30 operators to promote their massive upgrade through its new chipset. Nokia ReefShark promises to uphold improvements in 5G network. It is 3x more cell site throughput of each cell. Nokia also said that the new chipset is also reduced in size, cost and power consumption  while simultaneously boosting the intelligence and performance of massive MIMO antennas.

Basically, Nokia ReefShark is a plug-in unit that attaches to current Nokia AirScale baseband modules. One connection can push up to 84 Gbps of mobile data and multiple connections can achieve up to 6 Tbps. Nokia ReefShark will be shipped out on 3rd quarter of this year.
