Xiaomi has recently launched its newest mid-range devices in India – The Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. Both sport 5.99-inch 18:9 FHD+ displays, and pack 4,000mAh batteries.
Redmi Note 5 Pro is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It’s equipped with dual rear cameras composed of a 12MP + 5MP sensor, (Primary + Depth Sensing), along with a 20MP front camera. The device runs on MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat, and is the first from the brand to feature Face Unlock.
The Redmi Note 5 is a re-branded Redmi 5 Plus, and sports the same display as the Pro, but runs on an older Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor along with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage. At the back is a single 12MP camera, while the front houses a 5MP snapper with LED flash. It also runs on MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat.
