The Vivo V9 has been quite a topic recently, with all the renders, and even the official tv commercial being leaked. Now though, Vivo India has officially revealed the device’s specifications ahead of its launch, and confirms most of what we already know.
The Vivo V9 sports a 6.3-inch 19:9 display with FHD+ resolution and a notch, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC. It has 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage expandable with a microSD card.
For imaging, the device has a 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup that has portrait mode. Interestingly, it’s also able to detect gender, and is capable of taking 4K and slow motion videos. The 24MP front camera is equipped with AI Face Beauty, which if we’re to guess, analyzes your face and intelligently applies effects for clearer looking selfies.
The V9 runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, which most likely brings features like Face Access ID, and packs a 3,260mAh battery. The Vivo V9 is expected to be officially unveiled on March 23, 2018.
