Xiaomi is essentially known as the company that slashes the price of gadgets in half but still includes the top tier features we like. Nowadays, the notch has become a trend for smartphones but other than that, it also includes high end camera features together with Artificial Intelligence.
Just two days ago, Xiaomi revealed the Mi 6X – an affordable mid-range smartphone with camera AI features.
By camera AI, Xiaomi mainly focuses on object recognition – something we’ve seen with Samsung’s Bixby and Google Lens. One good example of this is that the camera can translate text from manuals and even tell you how many calories a particular food has. Xiaomi also announced its own AI assistant, the Xiao Ai – which should be able to understand hundreds of commands.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is a mid-tier smartphone. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB for storage. The display is at 5.99-inch with an 18:9 display ratio and recognizable bezels at the top and bottom. You will also get a fingerprint sensor at the back with dual cameras in vertical orientation made up of a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor
The Mi 6X is also supports Quick Charge 3.0 on its 3,010 mAh battery. From their announcement, it is priced at 1,599RMB which is roughly $250 – a pretty decent price for a mid-tier camera AI powered smartphone.
