The much-anticipated ZenFone Max Pro M2 has finally made its debut in the Philippines. Tagged as the new “Battery King”, this phone features a new design which utilizes a more curvy back panel, along with an upgraded processor, better optics, while still promising to deliver the bread and butter of a Max device – outstanding battery life.
The ZenFone Max Pro M2 has a 6.3-inch notched display with FHD+ resolution, and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 CPU with AI capabilities, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage expandable with a microSD card. This is a much-needed boost over the M1’s Snapdragon 636, plus the added RAM gives you more room for multi-tasking.
At the back of the device is an AI-Assisted dual rear camera system composed of a 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor for adding a depth of field effect to your photos. For selfies, there’s a 13MP snapper with beautification features.
Like its predecessor, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 does not come with ZenUI installed, but instead uses stock Android 8.1 Oreo, to decreases clutter and improve general performance. Like any other Max series device, it also packs a massive battery that can keep up with your activities – 5,000mAh to be exact. Charging the device shouldn’t take too long as well, as it’s compatible with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 Technology.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 6GB/64GB variant will retail for PhP14,995, and be available in stores nationwide starting December 15, 2018. The 4GB/64GB variant on the other hand, will retail for PhP12,995, and is now available for pre-order in Lazada and Shopee.
