If you find the Galaxy S10+ to be, just a tad too expensive, or a bit too big, and the Galaxy S10e to be a bit underwhelming, and a bit too small, you might want to settle with Samsung Galaxy S10.
Same Look, Just a Bit Smaller
The Samsung Galaxy S10 uses the same punch hole design for the front camera, only that you won’t get the depth sensor that the S10+ has. Other than that, the front and back of the unit is basically the same. You get a slightly smaller 6.1-inch Inifinity-O display that uses Adaptive AMOLED technology for superb brightness under direct sunlight and superior color accuracy.
Flagship Performance
You won’t be left out in performance, as the device runs on the same Exynos 9820 octa-core processor the delivers a marginal improvement in performance and reduced power consumption versus the Exynos 9810 on the S9. And while you don’t get that massive 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage on the S10+, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage is surely more than enough.
Retains the Triple Camera System
You’re also not missing out on optics, as the S10 is equipped with the same triple camera system on the S10+. You get a 12MP Telephoto camera with 2x Optical Zoom and OIS, a 12MP wide-angle camera with Samsung’s signature Dual Aperture feature, and a 16MP ultra wide camera which gives you a 123° field of view.
Intelligent Scene Recognition is also present here, and can now recognize 30 scene categories, while Local Tone Mapping allows for improved highlights and shadows. The camera can also analyze the shooting condition, and can recommend effects, as well as composition guides to ensure that perfect shot.
Next-Gen Convenience and Security
The Galaxy S10 is also equipped with an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner, which studies and learns the 3D characteristics of your fingerprint. It runs on Samsung’s One UI.
Charge Other Devices Wirelessly
The Galaxy S10 packs a 3,400mAh battery, and with Wireless Power Share, can charge compatible devices just by placing them against the phone.
Pricing, Availability, Pre-Order
The Samsung Galaxy S10 comes in two colors: Prism White and Prism Black and will retail for a starting price of PhP49,990. Pre-order yours from Feb 22 to March 3, 2019 and get to choose between a Galaxy Buds + Bluetooth Handgrip bundle and a PhP4,500 voucher as a freebie.
