AR Emojis have become quite a thing these days. And it’s not so hard to see why. The feature doesn’t just allow you to make a 3D avatar of your face, but developers can take advantage of it, and perhaps discover new implementations for various apps.
The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 is taking AR Emoji to the next level, by adding body tracking. What this means is that now, the phone can capture not just your facial expressions but also specific points of your body to fully render a composite 3D version of you.
What’s more amazing is that this is all done right from the camera of the Galaxy S10, and does not require any other 3rd party applications.
Again, this opens up a myriad of possibilities: Imagine using your whole body avatar as a character in a dancing game? Maybe for trying out different clothes, shoes, and the like? How about health tracking? there could be tons of way to implement it in apps. That’s why we’re looking forward to more developments for this feature.
