Despite its very affordable PhP4,999 price tag, the Cherry Mobile Flare S7 does sport a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera system. So the question is, can its cameras perform up to par? Let’s find out with a couple of sample shots.
As you can see, the camera is hit and miss. Believe me, its hard to get a properly focused photo with this phone unless you have steady hands, as it takes a painful amount of time to take a single shot, moreso to preview it. When you’re able to focus, you do get average quality photos with good detail, but are rather dim even when there’s ample lighting. There’s also a chunk of noise buildup at times, even when the condition is still close to ideal.

As you can see, the camera seems to be having a hard time determining which parts of the image should be blurred or not.

Normal selfies are actually decent, with good details and sharpness. Switch to Bokeh mode however, and you get a similar effect as with the rear cameras. Inaccurate blurring.
So to answer the question – If they fix a few things here and there, such as the painfully slow speed of capturing images, dimmed photos, and the bokeh effect issues, the Flare S7’s optics can actually be quite decent.
