ASUS ROG Mothership Launches in PH!

Unveiled at CES 2019, the ASUS ROG Mothership is an innovative beast that works as both a tablet and a complete desktop PC replacement with its unique form factor, and yesterday, the device finally made its official debut in the Philippines.

The ROG Mothership features a design that allows it to be deployed on the go, or as your main battlestation at home. Thanks to its modularity, you can use its default keyboard or replace it with other ROG peripherals. Its 17.3-inch screen uses an IPS-level panel, and boasts 4K UHD resolution and NVIDIA’s G-SYNC Technology.

rog mothership 3Under the hood is an overclocked Intel Core i9-9980HK processor which offers 8 cores and 16 threads at your disposal, backed by 64GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 2080 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. For storage, you can fit in up to three M.2 NVMe PCIE x4 512GB SSDs.

rog mothership 1You get a total of 5 USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports – two Type-Cs and one Type-A. One port is also equipped with Thunderbolt 3. There’s a single USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a LAN port, an SD Card Reader, a Kensington Lock Slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Pricing

The ROG Mothership (GZ700GX-AD028T) with a 4K display,. an i9-9980HK, 64GB of RAM, 1.5TB of storage, and an RTX 2080 is priced at PhP399,995. I know, that’s a lot, but given the skyrocketing performance you can expect from it, plus the portability, and everything else, I do think that’s a fair price to pay. It’s not for everyone, after all.
