It’s official, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series is here! Yes, you read that right, series. Reports are indeed on-point when they mentioned another Galaxy Note 10 device – And here they are, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+.

While having an extra option is generally good, sometimes it just complicates things by bringing up the question, “Which one should I get?” and this is the question we want to help you with.

Meet the S-Pen

Both devices share many features like the Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor,  Face unlock, the 10MP front camera, the SoC,  and of course the S-Pen, to name a few.  So, what’s the difference between the two? Quite a number, actually.

First, the Galaxy Note 10+ is a bigger device at 6.8-inches compared to the 6.3-inch of the base Note 10.  A display that is 5-inches larger means more real estate for everything but also means an overall larger phone. That can be the difference between just comfortable and close to unwieldy for those with smaller hands.

The Note 10+ also packs a fourth camera in the rear – the VGA DepthVision Camera. A depth camera helps with… well… depth. Whether or not this drastically changes the camera quality, it may but whether it’s noticeable for everyday users, it can’t be said just.

Another big difference between the two phones is battery. The base model has a 3500mAh battery while the larger device packs a 4300mAh battery. Aside from getting more use out of the phone with a larger battery before charging, it also allows more juice for charging other devices like wearables.

But what is perhaps the biggest differences between the two phones are RAM and storage capacity. The Note 10 has 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage and no expandable storage. While the Note 10+ has 12GB of RAM and an option between 256GB or 512GB with up to 1TB expandable storage via microSD card slot. We know 256GB as it is quite a lot but getting more storage and have the option to expand it is never a bad thing.

samsung galaxy note 10 vs samsung galaxy note 10 4Color options also vary between the two devices. While both share the colors Aura Glow, Aura White, and Aura Black. The Galaxy Note 10 also comes in Aura Pink and Aura Red, while the Galaxy Note 10+ only has Aura Blue as its other color.

Last, but definitely not the least, there’s the price. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be available for PhP53,990 while the Note 10+ will be priced at PhP60,990 (256GB) and PhP72,990 (512GB).

samsung galaxy note 10 vs samsung galaxy note 10 5Clearly, both devices are mighty powerful and pack a strong punch. Both the have the even more feature-packed S Pen as well as a plethora of other features like AR Doodle.  But let’s go back to the question at hand, which one should you get?

Ultimately, it depends really. If you don’t mind not having a depth camera and can survive off 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, then I think the Galaxy Note 10 is for you. But, if you use your phone for a lot of video or just a lot of media and need more storage and RAM partnered with more juice in the tank, then clearly the Galaxy Note 10+ is your Note 10 of choice.

samsung galaxy note 10 vs samsung galaxy note 10 6Personally, I’d go for the Galaxy Note 10. Its friendlier price point and having a Pink option is enough to win me over. I also don’t think I’ll need 12GB on my smartphone any time soon.

He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
