The first 64MP camera phone with a quad-camera setup is expected to be unveiled by realme in India. To top it all off, realme CEO, Madhav Sheth revealed that there are three quad-camera phones in the works.
The top-specced phone is said to be called realme 5. It will have a 64MP camera using a Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor. Sheth shared a 12MP photo shot to demonstrate pixel binning. This means that it was shot with a 48MP sensor – which may be the resolution for the X and 5 Pro. Along with this, Sheth mentions pixel binning with the 64MP sensor which results in a 16MP image.
With the 64MP super-big sensor, a single pixel can reach 1.6 um in size in the 4-in-1 mode which provides more light & offers more shooting options in the ultra Nightscape mode.#LeapToQuadCamera pic.twitter.com/LL9VAxAm7g

The three quad-camera phones will be distributed between realme’s three products lines – the main realme series, the Pro and the X. These are expected to launch in late October.
The quad camera setup will feature a 2x telephoto lens, a 199-degree ultra-wide angle lens and a dedicated macro lens.

That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
