Just a few days after its launch in the US, Samsung Philippines has brought the newest additions to the Galaxy Note lineup to local shores. Welcome the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+.
The Galaxy Note 10 series boast a new design that’s elegant, premium, and more symmetrical at the same time. Both pack eye-candy Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O displays – 6.3-inches FHD+ for the Note 10, and 6.8-inches WQHD+ for the Note 10+, the largest screen in a Note device to date.
Both devices are powered by the Exynos 9825, the Note 10 with 8GB of RAM and the Note 10+ with 12GB. As for storage, you can 256GB on the former, and up to 512GB on the latter.
For optics, the Note 10 sticks to a triple rear camera setup, while the Note 10+ has an additional DepthVision camera for better depth sensing and for use in AR applications. That’s on top of its wide-angle, ultra wide angle, and a telephoto lens.
There are a number of new features such as Live Focus Video, Zoom-in Mic, which allows you to focus on an audio source in the frame, and Super Steady video. You still get the usual goodies like Live Focus and Dual Aperture. For selfie lovers, Live Focus is also available for the front camera.
The re-imagined S-Pen can now recognize six new gestures called Air Actions that can be used when it’s away from the phone. For instance, you can now swipe up to switch the camera from rear to front. Wave it left or right to switch modes, and swing it in a clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the zoom. It can also deliver up to 10 hours of standby time in a single charge.
The Note 10 series features an AI-powered game booster to enhance performance. Now, there’s screen recorder for capturing your best highlights in-game, and PlayGalaxy Link which allows you to stream PC games onto the phone.
Both devices run on Samsung’s OneUI. The Note 10 packs a 3,500mAh battery, while the Note 10+ has a 4,300mAh power pack compatible with 45W super fast charging. Both are capable of charging other devices via the Wireless Power Share feature.
