After weeks of countless leaks and speculations, the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro have officially made their debut today, sporting an eye-pleasing new look, and upgrades that allow them to deliver a great user experience at exceptionally competitive pricing.
The realme 5 packs a 6.5-inch HD+ display, while the Pro version has a slightly smaller screen, though with FHD+ resolution. At the helm of both devices are Qualcomm processors – Snapdragon 665 for the former, and Snapdragon 712 for the latter.
The non-pro variant comes with up to 4GB of RAM, while the pro-variant can have up to 8GB. For storage, you get up to 128GB of storage for both devices.
Both are equipped with four rear cameras which include an 8MP wide-angle shooter, a 2MP portrait shooter, and a 2MP macro shooter. The difference is that the Pro version uses a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. For the front camera, it’s 13MP for the vanilla variant and 16MB for the Pro.
Both are capable of doing 4K video recording at 30fps, and are equipped with nifty tools such as Chroma Boost , AI-Assisted Beautification, and AI nightscape. Both can also do 10X digital zoom.
Both the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro run on ColorOS 6 realme edition. As for battery, it’s 5,000mAh for the non-pro, which charges over a microUSB port, 4,035mAh battery for the Pro, which also has VOOC 3.0 20W fast-charging, and a USB-C port.

In India, the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro will start at INR9,999 (PhP7,303.04) and INR13,999 (PhP10,216.73) respectively. Note that the converted prices indicated are not yet subjective to local taxes and tariffs.
