Google has officially released Android 10 to all the Pixel devices. It includes all Pixel phones, namely Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL. This includes September security patches.
It’s a pleasant surprise to see that even the very first Pixel devices are included in the Android 10 rollout, though it may take a while for the company to roll it out for other Android phones.
Like Google announced, Android 10 is the first Android release that will not carry a dessert name.
Some features that Android 10 will bring include the highly request Dark Theme, a new gesture navigation system that gets rid of the navigation bar entirely, Smart Reply that will suggest actions and replies in messaging apps, and Live Caption.
Privacy options have also been improved with a new setting that lets you share location data with an app only while you’re actively using it.
These are just some of the many changes that Android 10 will bring. You can check out the official website for a deeper dive. We look forward to seeing the latest Android version on our phones.
