Apart from the three features phones, HMD Global also launched two new smartphones at this year’s IFA. Both exude excellent craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail that’s inspired by Nordic design that the brand is known for. Both are also crafted from a polymer composite that’s twice as strong as polycarbonate but is lighter than Aluminium.
Nokia 6.2
The Nokia 6.2 is the first in the Nokia 6 lineup to sport a triple camera system, along with the new PureDisplay technology that allows it to deliver an immersive viewing experience. It’s equipped with a dedicated Pixelworks visual processor that upscales video content to HDR Quality in real-time, delivering higher contrast and improved dynamic range.
All content is displayed on a 6.3-inch Waterdrop PureDisplay screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3, boasting HDR10 support for Amazon and 500 nits of brightness. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, backed by up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of storage.
For optics, the Nokia 6.2 packs three rear shooters – a 16MP Main, an 8MP Wide-Angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The front on the other hand, houses an 8MP f/2.0 snapper.
The device runs on Android 9 Pie, and is part of the Android One family. It’s Android 10-ready, and is guaranteed to get monthly security updates for three years, and OS upgrades for three years.
Nokia 6.2 packs a 3,500mAh battery and is compatible with 5V/2A charging. Other features include OTG, a USB-C port, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Nokia 7.2
The more premium of the 2, the Nokia 7.2 is designed with mobile photography in mind, consisting of a triple camera system with ZEISS optics, Quad Pixel Technology, and AI-capabilities, all to help you land that beautiful photo in both well lit and dim environments. Its 20MP Quad Pixel camera also boasts ZEISS Optics.
Take advantage of the unique ZEISS bokeh styles – ZEISS Modern, ZEISS Swirl, and ZEISS Smooth to produce an accurate and well refined depth of field effect. What’s more, the AI-powered Night Mode with Image Fusion knows when you’re shooting handheld or with a tripod, and intelligently adjusts the exposure.

The Nokia 7.2 runs on Android 9 Pie, and is also part of the Android One program. It packs a 3,500mAh battery and supports 5V/2A charging. Other features include a USB-C port, a Google Assistant button, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0

Pricing and Availability
Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 are priced at EUR 199 and EUR 249 respectively. Both also come with 3 months of Google One membership, which gives you perks that include 100GB of storage, and Premium Support. It’s also confirmed that the Nokia 7.2 is coming to the Philippines (Cyan Green and Charcoal, 6GB + 128GB variant). Local pricing will be announced at a later date.
