It’s another great day for realme, as the brand recently announced that it has achieved the 7th rank in global smartphone shipments based on Counterpoint’s Q3 2019 data.
After being at the 10th spot in Q2 of 2019, it’s the first time for the brand to have reached such a feat, with more than 10 million shipments in Q3 and an 808% year on year growth (Rank 1 in the world), Making it the fastest growing smartphone brand.
The “Dare to Leap” concept has allowed it to accomplish such surprising results as an 18-month young brand even when global smartphone shipments are constantly decreasing. It’s also due to the quality of its products which offer good performance and imaging capabilities at such competitive prices.
In October 2019, realme’s global users exceeded 17 million. At present, its entire product portfolio has made its entry to the European market, with its flagship being introduced in a high-end market overseas. This in fact, the goal of realme’s globalization strategy. To date, the brand has established presence in 20 markets including China, SEA, Russia, India, Europe, and so on.
Completing its Product Portfolio
From initially introducing budget to mid-range devices, realme has also recently completed its portfolio with the introduction of the realme X2 Pro. At the same time, the young brand has also invited Naoto Fukasawa, a global industrial design giant, the be its Invited Design Director.
The result of such a collaboration are the numerous realme Master Edition products that inspire smartphone industrial design, establishing a great reputation among consumers who demand more.
Full-Speed to 5G
Realme announced that it’ll be one of the terminal manufacturers to be shipped with Qualcomm’s integrated 5G mobile platform. The new 5G-enabled Snapdragon 7 series will allow realme’s products to deliver a new level of connectivity and user experience. The company has also invested in IoT, with research on wearable devices, AR/VR, and cloud gaming among other aspects.
