Razer has just launched the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds for smartphones. Built with gaming in mind, the Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds is touted to offer lower latency than most Bluetooth headsets.
Design-wise, the Hammerhead True Wireless is more similar to Apple’s AirPods where it slots into the ear without going in too deep. Unlike the AirPods, Razer’s true wireless offering is IPX4 rated making it sweat and splash resistant. They also feature a flat back for its touch panels for playback control and for activating the voice assistant.
The Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds themselves are said to have 3 hours on a single charge. The case, on the other hand, offers four more charges, for a total of 15 hours of battery life.
It uses a custom codec with Bluetooth 5.0 to bring down audio latency. The earbuds have a custom Gaming Mode which is said to deliver 60ms latency, much lower than the usual average of 200ms.
The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless is priced at USD 100 (around PHP 5,100).
