Google is set to launch a new phone on August 3 based on a very interesting page on the Google Store website. The phone is expected to be the long-awaited Google Pixel 4a. It was rumored to be announced at the Google I/O conference in May but that didn’t push through because of the pandemic.
The page is as interesting as they come. When you initially visit you’ll be greeted by The Google Phone separated by grey boxes and what looks like generic Lorem ipsum text below it. The only image that greets you is a rectangular shape that resembles a smartphone.
Not quite the order you need but… colors!
The grey boxes are actually buttons that change to Google’s iconic colors – red, blue, green, and yellow. If you input the colors in the order of the Google logo (AKA blue, red, yellow, blue, green, red), it all changes and completes the text to “The Google Just What You’ve Been Waiting For Phone” and shows the date August 3.
That’s not all though, we take a closer look at the Lorem ipsum text, you can clearly see fake Latin words namely “videus chatum”, “lowlightena capturum”, “blurtutate bokehus”, and “longlastingis batterum”. These clearly refer to camera features as well as the upcoming Google Phone’s battery.
We’re impressed with Google’s interactive reveal and are excited to see the new phone.
