Following the local launch of the ROG Phone 3, ASUS Republic of Gamers shifts back to the desktop scene as it launches the new ROG Strix G15DH and G35DX in the Philippines. Both are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Desktop CPUs.
G35DX
Powered by up to a 7nm Ryzen 9 3950X CPU, the ROG Strix G35DX harnesses the power of AMD’s 3rd generation Ryzen processors with 16 cores and 32 threads, allowing the system to breeze through the most demanding tasks. More cores also mean faster acceleration for multithreaded work such as video encoding and 3D rendering.
Armed with a ROG Strix RTX 2080 Ti, the ROG Strix G35DX can deliver high frame rates for the latest games in 4K resolution without stuttering. The GPU is also equipped with a huge 2.7-slot heatsink capped by three Axial-tech fans for effective cooling.
There are two hot-swap drive bays for quickly adding and removing SSDs without having to reopen the case or use any special tools, while AIO liquid CPU cooling ensures that you can overclock the system to its limits.
The chassis is very easy to upgrade as it supports the latest PCI Express 4.0 standard that allows for multi-GPU configurations.
ROG Strix G35DX is the first ROG system to feature the new Keystone II technology which can be configured to switch the system in a specific operating mode, launch an application, or unlock a hidden Shadow Drive for private files.
The chassis is equipped with a carrying handle that’s strong enough to bear up to 30kg of sustained force, making it easier to move the system around. The hidden headphone hook also helps keep tournament setups and battle stations clean and is tested to hold headsets up to 3 kg and can survive the momentary force of up to 10 kg.
G15DH
ROG Strix G15DH is powered by up to an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X CPU, giving you 8 cores and 16 threads of computing prowess, along with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card that can easily handle demanding and varied workloads.
It’s also equipped with an efficient cooling design that helps achieve superior performance from core components. The chassis is a more compact variation of the airflow-enhancing Wind Shear design in the ROG Strix G35DX.
The CPU, GPU, and motherboard are isolated in the main chamber, while the storage bays and power supply sit below in a separate cooling zone. This dual-chamber design makes it easier to cool the hottest components. Widened vents in the exterior panels guide more air into the chassis, enhancing heat dissipation and allowing the system to remain silent even in the heat of gaming.
