Huawei has officially announced the Huawei Y9a. Among the highlights of the new device includes a notch-less display, an Helio G80 chipset at the helm, a 64MP main camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Huawei Y9a is built around a 6.63-inch notchless LCD with 2400×1080 resolution. Alongside the Helio G80 chipset is 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The 8GB variant of the Y9a will only be available in the Middle East, some countries in Middle Asia, and Asia-Pacific though.
The 16MP front camera is mounted on the pop-up module. At the back, you are greeted with a quad-camera setup that looks pretty similar to the Mate 30 series camera module design-wise. Accompanying the 64MP main camera is a combination of an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree FoV, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor units. Its camera also features EIS video which will come in handy when shooting videos.
It gets its juice from a 4300mAh cell with 2.5W fast charging support via USB-C port. However, in Africa, the Middle East, and some countries in Middle Asia will get a 4200mAh battery pack with 40W fast charging support.
The Y9a runs on Android 10-based EMUI 10.1, out of the box.
The Huawei Y9a has three color options – Space Silver, Sakura Pink, and Midnight Black and is priced at USD 239 in Iraq. It will be available for pre-order in Iraq starting September 12.
