Apart from the C17 and the Narzo 20 series, realme also took the opportunity in its recent event to unveil the second major iteration of its own take on Android, realme UI 2.0 which focuses on three key aspects – Creativity, Sociability, and Productivity.
For the Creativity side, users will be able to enjoy more colors for themes, adding a bit of personal touch to the device.
An always-on display will also be available with themes.
But perhaps the most notable is the update to Dark Mode, which allows the user to change the intensity of the effect.
Third-party launchers will also be able to integrate better with realme UI 2.0 with access to the in-house icon customization options and the improved notification bar.
For Sociability, realme Share will allow for fast file transfers over Wi-Fi between two devices which have the feature and Dual Mode Music Share, which basically works the same way.
There’s also subtitle stitching, which is basically a more creative way of sharing music lyrics through stills.
The new Private Space feature will allow users to hide all apps using a PIN code. While not explained in detail, there’s also a feature called Invisible Door that feeds empty data to apps collecting personal information. Lastly, there’s Pseudo Site as well as Harassment Call Blocking.
For Productivity, the new Digital Health feature will be added to control device usage and you know, give users some time off to face the real world.
There’ll also be a picture-in-picture mode (floating window) and faster startup for apps.
Now, for the release schedule, the first device that’ll receive the update is the realme X50 Pro 5G. Early access begins on September 24 with Open Beta to follow at the end of next month. A stable release is expected at the end of November.
