On October 8, 2020, AMD announced the Ryzen 5000 series under the Zen 3 microarchitecture. The Ryzen 5000 processor family boasts a 19% instructions per clock improvement over the previous Zen 2 processors, allowing the 5000 series to finally compete against Intel in the single-core department. Today marks the review embargo and store availability of the much-awaited AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X, Ryzen 7 3800XT, and Ryzen 5 3600XT. AMD Philippines also announces the official local SRP of the Ryzen 5000 processors

AMD took the opportunity to raise its prices as it overtakes Intel in both single-core and multi-core performance. PH prices for the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and Ryzen 9 5900X are reasonably close to their predecessor’s launch SRP. However, the Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 5 5600 has a higher launch price compared to the Ryzen 7 3800X and Ryzen 5 3600X, respectively.
