ASUS has just announced the Fanless Chromebox powered by up to 10th Generation Intel processors and USB-C 3.2 Gen 1.
The Fanless Chromebox can also be powered by a Celeron processor and can be configured with up to 16GB of DDR4-2666 RAM and up to 512GB of M.2 SSD. Its USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port delivers fast data transfers, power delivery, and DisplayPort functionality. The new Chrome device also supports up to three 4K displays and boasts WiFi 6 connectivity.
Its body has a fanless aluminum chassis that stands up to harsh operating environments while providing silent operation. This makes it require less maintenance than systems with active cooling. The Chromebox supports an external power-switch cable to be able to be turned on or off easily when placed in difficult-to-reach locations. An RS232 via an RJ50 interface lets users connect legacy monitors and devices.
The small size makes it fit anywhere and enables work whether in the office or remotely at home.
As a Chrome OS device, it has built-in support for Google Play which provides users with access to a wide variety of apps and content.
The Chromebox is designed with security in mind and has automatic updates for software and security to stay safe from viruses, malware, and other security issues.
ASUS Philippines has yet to announce the local availability and pricing for the Fanless Chromebox. For more information, click here.
