Approaching its official debut on February 25, more information about the upcoming Redmi K40 series is being unveiled. This time, it’s all about the display.
According to the new teasers, the series will be equipped with Samsung’s E4 material OLED panels, which to put it simply means you get higher brightness levels, improved contrast, color accuracy, not to mention it also saves power. There are other devices that have this technology in place – the recently-launched Mi 11, as well as the vivo X60 and X60 Pro.
Moreover, the new teasers also reveal that at least one of the devices will offer a 120Hz refresh rate, which seems to be becoming a standard for flagships in 2021.
As for the remainder of their specs, the Redmi K40 Pro is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, while the vanilla K40 will have a Snapdragon 870. Both will reportedly run on Android 11, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. There’s also talk about 33W fast-charging.
