Huawei sold HONOR late last year to keep it afloat and competitive in the market. The separation from Huawei opened the possibilities of HONOR working with American companies again. This looks to be the case after it announced its partnerships with Qualcomm and MediaTek earlier this year. In addition, it looks like the Chinese company has secured a partnership with Google as well as teased by the HONOR Germany twitter.
HONOR announced on Twitter that its HONOR 50 series will be powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. A Twitter user bluntly asked HONOR Germany if the new flagship series will have Google Services and the company simply replied, “Yes, we can confirm that.” and finished with “But pssst, should be another surprise.”
The company has since deleted that tweet but GizChina was able to screenshot the tweet.
HONOR 50 series
The HONOR 50 series will be comprised of the HONOR 50, 50 Pro, and 50 Pro+.
The vanilla HONOR 50 will pack the new Snapdragon 778G. The HONOR 50 Pro and 50 Pro+, on the other hand, are rumored to have the flagship Snapdragon 888 at the helm. They are said to have a 50MP sensor, a 6.79 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and dual front cameras with a 32MP main and an 8MP. The latter, we hope is an ultra-wide shooter.
The new flagship series will not only be the first to feature the new Snapdragon 778G, but it will also be the first that brings back Google Mobile Services to HONOR devices since separating from Huawei.
The company is scheduled to launch the HONOR 50 series in June as mentioned by CEO George Zhao during the Qualcomm Technologies Summit held in Beijing, China.

That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
