HMD Global has just announced the Nokia XR20, a rugged 5G device with a MIL-STD810H certification. Additionally, it features an IP68 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus on the front.
This is built around a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with 550 nits and works even with wet fingers or gloves. It has a punch hole on the top center of the display for its 8MP front camera.
Around the back, it has a 48MP main camera joined by a 13MP ultrawide sensor each with its own LED flash units.
The XR20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset accompanied by 6GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD slot. It gets its juice from a 4630mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Out of the box, it runs on Android 11 and the company has promised four years of monthly security updates and three years of major OS updates. Additionally, it has stereo speakers at up to 96dB and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Nokia XR20 is available in Ultra Blue and Granite Grey colorways and is priced at USD 550. It will go on sale starting August 24.
