Nothing has just launched its first product, the Nothing ear (1) TWS earbuds with active noise cancellation and water resistance.
What’s most unique about the new company’s first product is its transparent design for both the case and the earbuds. The clear plastic allows you to see through both and have a peek at their internals.
The earbuds weigh in at 4.7g per earbuds and feature a single 11.6mm dynamic driver. Additionally, each earbud has touch gestures for controlling playback and ANC modes.
The ear (1) connects via Bluetooth 5.2 and supports SBC and AAC codecs. It can be paired with iOS and Android devices via an app that helps manage ANC, EQ, and updating its software.
As far as ANC goes, they have two levels of noise cancellation as well as a transparency mode.
Nothing claims that the earbuds offer 4 hours of playback with ANC on and up to 5.7 hours with ANC turned off. Meanwhile, the case is said to offer up to a total of 34 hours. It charges wired via USB-C port or wirelessly with a Qi-certified charger.
The Nothing ear (1) is priced at USD 99 and will be available in 45 countries including the US, Europe, and India. It will be available starting July 31 with limited quantities and have wider availability starting August 17.
