According to the General Manager of Lenovo’s smartphone business in China, the Lenovo Legion 3 Pro (or the Legion Phone Duel 3 outside China) will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 (SM8450).
The Snapdragon 898 is yet to be officially unveiled by Qualcomm but the new flagship chipset is said to be 20% faster than its predecessor. Despite the 898 being unannounced yet, we can only assume that the Legion 3 Pro will be among the first phones to have the flagship chipset.
The new gaming phone is expected to have active cooling to keep the new SoC cool and avoid throttling for the best performance.
Not much information is known about the Lenovo Legion 3 Pro or the Snapdragon 898 but the commitment to be on top of the game is clearly there.
