Huawei MateBook 14s Launched with a 14.2-inch 90Hz Touchscreen

Huawei has just launched the Huawei MateBook 14s. The new laptop will first arrive in China but it is also set to make its debut in the UK on October 27 and the rest of Europe and Asia after that.

The new MateBook 14s has a 14.2-inch touchscreen display with a 2500×1080 resolution with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. It also offers 400 nits of brightness, 100% coverage of sRGB, and a 1,500:1 contrasts ratio. The touchscreen can track up to 10 fingers as well.

The laptop has an aluminum-alloy body that weighs 1.43kg and measures 16.7mm thick. Additionally, it features two shark fin fans and two heat pipes to keep it cool. A hinge inlet design allows 25% better air intake than more traditional designs.

Under the hood, the new 14-inch laptop has either an Intel Core i5-11300H or an i7-11370H processor. Regardless of which option you go for though, this is coupled with Intel Iris Xe graphics as well as 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

It draws its juice from a 60Wh battery and comes with a 90W USB-C charger out of the box. The charger can also be used to top up your tablet and phone.

As far as ports go, it offers two USB-C ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen1 port, a full-size HDMI, and a 3.5mm combo headphone and microphone jack. The USB-C ports support data, charging, and DisplayPort. Moreover, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.

Huawei MateBook 14s tablet HarmonyOS

If you have a tablet running on HarmonyOS 2.0, you can pair it with the laptop to use as a second display. You can also drag and drop files between the two devices and use the laptop’s keyboard and touchpad on the tablet.

The Huawei MateBook 14s comes in Spruce Green and Space Gray. The i5 variant is priced at CNY 7,000, while the i7 option is available for INR 8,000.
